Preserving the Legacy,
Investing in The future
Who we are
The BHSSF was established in 1993 to administer youth scholarships and grant programs to benefit communities in our region and organizations that support the agriculture industry and Black Hills Stock Show & Rodeo. The BHSSF dedicates countless hours to key fundraising events that provide the funds needed to support these efforts.
Key events are the Black Hills Stock Show Banquet & Ball Auction, Milo Rypkema Memorial Golf Tournament, Road to the NFR Calcutta Fundraiser and (NEW in 2021) Back When They Bucked PRCA Rodeo. Through these events and Memberships, the BHSSF is proud to announce the foundation’s investment in youth furthering their education in agriculture is over $40,000 per year. The events and Memberships also help bring greater awareness, information and services to organizations such as the Black hills Childresn’t Home Society, Western Junior livestock Show, Story Book Island, various fire departments and to crisis events such as Storm Atlas, the Cottonwood Fire and more.
